Hey everybody. :) As usual I'm really sorry for not posting. I've been really buisy with the end of school and stuff. But, I finished yesterday and I've spent the whole day today not doing anything. :) Actually I was supposed to leave for France today with my mom and brother. But my brother got in to the final of the tournament he's playing and he has his game tommorow. It's actually the first time for a very long time that I will attend his match. It's just that a lot of the times he has matches during the school week and I can't come. And if he has a game during the weekend I either have homework or dance or something else...Anyway I'm really glad to be going. :)
I'm also really glad that school's out. I like school, but I seriously need a break. I'll get a good rest and spend the next 5 months getting ready for exams. Great. What a joy.
You can't imagine how cold it is here in Moscow. It got below 25degrees celcious (is that how you spell that?) one day.

Well, unfortunately, I'm sick. Not seriously sick, I just don't feel very well.
And I have a TON of things to do. Here is why I will probably be freaking out for the next two weeks:
- I have two weeks to write a HUGE History paper.
- I have basically one weekend to get ready for a HUGE History test.
- I have a TON of homework.
- I have a lot of work to do with my Personal Project.
Plus the regular homework and things like that. But there is one thing to looke forward to :) Two weeks in the French alps with my WHOLE family :) :P :D

Journals and diaries :)
Hey everybody :)
So, I've been wanting to do a post here about jorunals or diaries. I have one myself and to tell you the truth I can't live without it :) I have to write at least once a week. Usually I write a lot more. Some of you may think that journaling is stupid, or that it doesn't do anything for you. Actually, it does a lot. At least for me. I can write anything I want in my diary. Funny things, stupid things, things that only I know about :) So here are a couple of easy steps for those of you who don't have a diary and want to start one. Believe me, you'll love it once you get started.
№1.
Ok, so the first step is about picking out your diary or jorunal. It may seem like something that is done quickly, but for me it's a very long process. My diary can't just be some ordinary notebook, it has to be special, to me. It can remind you of something, or some place you've been to. Some of my diaries were given to me as presents :) But either way, you should pick one that YOU like :) I've gone through 4 diaries and am finishing my 5ht one. I have this thing, where I always buy a new diary as soon as I start writing in one. Just in case. :) But I always write to the last page :) I never stop in the middle and start a new diary.
№2
Ok, so these are just a few tips about what to write in your journal. You basically write anything. It doesn't matter what, you create a whole world for yourself, a world that only you know about :) I not only write, but sometimes do funny drawings and write down quotes I like. My diary is where I can write down all my thoughts, get them untangled, you know? So don't worry about what to write :) Just write :)
Well, basically that's it :) Good luck :) And happy writing :P

Finally!
Hey everybody :)
Ok, so after about 6-7 years of being tortured practically every day by my little brother (the age diference is 3 years. very bad age diference!) I have finally found a cure. At least I think so... I've tried everything. Seriously, everything.
I've tried to ignore him, but he goes after me and won't leave me alone at all. I've tried acting sweet and nice and kind, but that didn't work, of course. Seriously, it's hard. He get's mad at me for everything. And when he's not mad at me he's annoying me. Some times on purpose, others not. But when he's really not trying to annoy me, I'm a lot more patient. You can just see that gleem in his eyes when he's really really really really getting on my nerves. And believe me, he knows how to do that VERY well. But now I've finally found a way to beat him at his own game.
From now on, whenever he starts to bother me (on purpose) or when he gets mad at me for no realy reason, I'll act like the most annoying person on the planet, at least for him. I've figured it all out. It may not sound very nice, but it's the only way I can think of that might stop him. I'll stop the minute he quiets down and stuff. So basically it's like pushing a button that sets of the alarm. I'm the button, and if he pushes it, I act as the alarm. In this case, I get on his nerves. :)
The only thing I still have to figure out is how I'm going to protect myself. I seriously need to figure that out :}
I hope this works :) I really do :)

PS: How do you guys deal with younger sibblings? Please leave a comment about it, because it's always good to have a plan B :)

I just have to do this post.
Hey everybody,
Ok, so as the heading says, I HAVE to do this post. You might think the topic is weird, but....we'll you'll see. And the topic is: Stuffed animals. No, it's not what you think it will be about....at least I hope so.
Ok, well as some of you may know, I have a collection of stuffed animals. And no, I don't think it's childish. Beause...because...because I can't imagine my life without them :) I mean, my whole room is full of them. And you have no idea how they make me feel. They help me calm down, they help me fell better when I'm not in my best mood. They help me remember that everythings gonna be ok.
So always always rember that animals are NOT childish. I mean some of them may be, but not mine. Each animal has their own story.
Even when we grow up, a part of us can still be a bit childish :) Just not TOO childish :)

Happy Halloween :)
Happy Halloween everybody.
I wish they celbrated Halloween here. I mean they kind of do, but it's not such a big holiday as it is in the US.
Anyway, I found some neat Halloween facts. Thought you guys might like them. Here they are:
1) All Saints' Day or All Hallow's Eve was and anient Celtic harvest festival. The Irish brought the tradition of lighting candles in turnips on Halloween to keep away the spirits. But since there weren't a lot of turnips in America they started lighting pumpkins instead. Thus the Jack-O-Lantern was born. :)
2) Bobbing for apples was actually done to honor Paomona, the Goddess of Fruit Trees. :)
3) Samheinophobia is a fear of Halloween.
4) The tradition of Trick or Treating also startedin Ireland, where people would ask for contributions for the Harvest festival.
Well i hope you liked my halloween facts :)

Well, today was the first day it snowed here in Moscow. :) I LOVE snow, it makes me so...so...HAPPY :) And EXCITED. And HAPPY : D Unless it turns in to icky brown slush. That does NOT make me happy.
Other than that life is pretty much the same. You know: school, home work, dance lessons and...just life :) I had this trial algebra exam. I didn't do very well. I didn't fail it, but I was kind of disappointed because there were some stupid mistakes. Out of a total of 38 points I got 17 points. Ugh. But I know all of my mistakes and I hope I don't make the same ones next time :)

Hey Everybody :)
Well, as I told you, I went to visit AAS, a school I am thinking about applying to for next year. IT IS HUGE! Seriously. They have their own pool, tennis courts, soccer fields, gym, dance room....4 labs, two theatres a pretty big library, two cafetirias, a school store, a comuter room. There are more than a 1000 students (from 1st grade to 12th.) I liked it. You could tell that the school has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The parents take a big part in the everyday life of the school and....All in all I got a good impression. AND the high school students get LOCKERS! :) I've always wanted a locker, don't ask, I have no idea why, I've just always wanted one....:}
That's pretty much all that's going on in my life now....I did my exam homework today, there was so much! But I stopped when I started seeing two of everything. :]

Teachers day
Hey guys :)
Well, on Friday I TAUGHT 4TH GRADE!!!!!! It was SO SO SO SO much fun. And they were all so CUTE! :D We started the day with Math :) It was kind of hectic, because, they all did the test/worksheet at different speeds :} Then we took them to breakfeast. Seriously, these are the only kids I know, who don't like cereal! :0 :)
The next lesson was English. That was fun, they turned out to know a lot better than we thought. And they were all eager to play the game Nick and I had brought.
After that they did these worksheets. I told them we would give them a VERY boring task if they weren't calm and if they didn't behave themselves, but I had no idea what that task was. But, thankfully, they were very good children :) There was such an adorable boy :) He is so CUUUUUUUUUUTE! :]
Then we went to our english lesson and after that we went to the concert our school was having...All in all it was a fun day :)

Today.
Hey Everybody :)
Well, as I mentioned yesterday, I went to School 3 today :) It wasn't that bad :) We watched a wildlife movie, then went to the debate. It turned out we didn't get ot debate, there were groups of 11th graders who did that and then we had to ask questions. The debate was pretty interesting, it was about preserving animals and keeping species from extinction. Almost everyone voted for the opposers....They were funnier, I guess....But I liked the proposers speech better :)
Then we painted a flag. We had to pick an animal and draw it on the flag. We had the panda. Since our group was blue, we painted the panda blue instead of black, but then it was the same color as the backround. So in the end we had a green and orange panda with black ears and a yellow and black panda cub, that looked more likea possom. :D It was so funny. There was this guy, he kept on cracking us up. :)
Then we went to their auditorium and listened to a reperesentitive of WWF give a speech about the program and what we can do in general to help save the planet and about all of WWFs campaigns. (I'll talk more about that on my blog I Want To Say... but I'll do that tommorow, if you want to check it out :)
Then we went back to school and finished the day with algebra and russian. And then I went to dance :)
Oh my goodness, tommorow I get to teach 4th graders for half the day :) That should be a lot of fun. But my friend taught them last year and said that some of them went out of control :) But I'm teaching with my classmate, so we should be ok...I hope :P

Hey everybody :)
You have no idea what kind of an amazing mood I am in :) Everything seems wonderful right now :) I have no idea why, so don't ask :)
Anyway, tommorow I am missing most of my classes to go to this environment thing at another school that's like mine :) We're going to make a flag for the environment and whatch a movie about endangered species and have a debate (I'm REALLY looking forward to that) I'm not sure what else, but I'll tell you all about it tommorow or on Friday :) I can't wait :) Esepecially for the debate :)
Today at my English class we somehow got to talking about careers :) As some of you may know, I want to become a children and young adult phsycologist. My friend started talking about how he thinks that it's not a needed profession. He thought that it was just about talking to people. But it's so much more. Just thinking about how many people I can help just makes me so happy...I know I'm not a phsycologist yet. But it's my dream. I'll make it come true.

Exam.
Hey my dear readers :D
Ok, so I had a trial exam today. It's just to see how well we can do it. We'll be having them throughout the year. Honestly it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. But that's just a trial exam. I bet the real one will be harder. Anyway, I 've got to head out, sorry this post is so small. But I have to go, it's getting late here in Mosow.

Hey People :)
Finally, Friday :) I've been waiting for today since....for ever :)
School is okay. The weeks seem to go by so slowly...Next Friday should be AMAZING :D In Russia we celebrate Teachers Day and on that day the High School students take over for half a day. It starts from 8th grade. Everybody's devided in to pairs and each pair is asigned a class that they teach for 3 hours (from (9:00 to 12:00) I got 4th grade this year with one of my classmates. We have Russian, Math, Reading and English :) I hope everything goes well. We start getting ready for it on Monday :P
I wanted to do a post on my other blog (I want to say...) But I think I'll have to finish my post because I need to get a bit of HW done so that I don't have to do it tommorow. You see it's my grandfather's birthday, so practically the whole family and all my relatives on my moms side are coming to celebrate :)

:)
Hey guys :)
So today I think I'll tell you a bit more about the routines I have. :]
Ok, so when I'm upset I have to be alone. I know a lot of people who just have to talk the whole thing out, but I have to be alone when I feel bad. It doesn't matter why I'm upset, I might just be in a sad mood. What I usually do is read, I guess I lose myself in the book and when I finish reading, my problems don't seem that...important. After that I write in my journal. It helps me figure everything out. I think I would go crazy if I couldn't write in my journal, I feel so much better after I fill it's pages with my ideas and feelings. I also listen to music....:) As you can see, it doesn't really matter what I do, as long as I keep myself occupied. Otherwise this feeling of utter despair and loneliness washes over me...That's not a good thing :}
That's pretty much it :)
I'm glad I got a chance to do some posts on my blog :) I want to do more during the week, but usually I'm just so tired to do anything, or I'm buisy with homework and stuff. :] But I'll try to post more :)

Relaxing :)
See :) I promised you another post and here it is :) But this one is just going to be about my ways of relaxing :) Everybody has ways to make themsleves feel better after a long week or just when they feel tired. So here are my ways of relaxing in these situations:
1) Ok, it's the evening and school's been especially hard and I'm REALLY tired here's what I do:
I LOVE green tea and my mom is a big fan of tea in general, so we always have some type of tea at home :) Anyway, back to what I was talking about. I make myself some green tea, fill a plate with grapes and cookies and depending on whether I'm alone at home or not I go to my room and read or write or I stay in the kitchen and tell my mom about what's been going on at school and everything.
2) I've been taking dance classes since I was really little and I love it. It's a great way to keep fit and It makes me feel really good :) Anway the dance classes I take are great, but I'm really tired out after them. So, sometimes, when I'm REALLY REALLy worn out I come home, put on some music fill my bathtub with water and take a relaxing bubbling bath listening to some type of relaxing music :) I don't stay in for very long, maybe about 15 minutes. But when I come out I feel super :)
That's pretty much it...I have many different...routines for different things. Like when I'm upset I do one thing etc. :) Maybe I'll do a post about that tommorow :) But my mom and brother just got back and it's pretty late here in Moscow and I haven't had dinner yet :) So I think I'll rap this post up :)
Before I leave, I'd love to here about the ways you relax :) So if you want to, just leave a comment at the end of this post. :}

Random things.
Hey everybody :D
I have no idea why, but I am in an extremely good mood at the moment. :P I feel like bouncing off the walls :) It may be because I lived through this week of school...And now it's Saturday, HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
One of my classmates was expelled, I was never friends with her...She must have done something REALLY bad...or maybe the principal decided she had done enough....
Ah, my legs ache because I had to stretch them for a really long time at gymnastics....
Ok, so whenever I'm in such a good mood, I get these random ideas. This post already seems pretty random, so I'm just going to write random things that I think of, ok?
Don't you love chocolate? For the last 3 days I've had this craving for a chocolate cake I tried in France.....I have no idea if I'd be able to make it, but I'll tell you one thing, this cake is one of the best chocolate cakes I've had...I think. Anyway, maybe if this craving doesn't go away, I'll try and make it...I don't think it's very hard to make. I'd try to explain it, but I don't think you'd understand, you'd probably just get confused from my description....
Ok, so I know a bunch of people who think they're extremely fat when thy're not and go on these stupid diets that don't help at all. If you really want to lose wait, then take up some kind of sport...or just go to the gym a few times a week. That way you'll stay fit and healthy. Of course you have to eat right and all that, but if you eat the way you shoul and get all the vitamins you need and stuff, it won't kill you to eat a piece of cake. The girls in the grade below me actually printed out pictures of cake! They explained that they were eating those peices of cake in their minds. I would never be able to do something like that, it sounds pretty pointless. :]
Anyway, I think I'll stop, but I might continue saying random things this evening :) So look out for another post soon :P

Hey guys, how are you?
I'm at school now and the weather is aweful outside, so I decided that now was the perfect time to do a post since there's nothing else to do and I might not be able to do one this evening. It's lunch, so it's not like I'm skipping class or anything, our lunch break is an hour long so...
Nothing much is going on here. It's the second week of school, so everything is still being figured out. Like when we're supposed to stay after school to get ready for exams and stuff. We have our first trial exam on the 1st of october (math)...that's not very far away...unfortunately.
Oops, gotta go.

Hey Guys,
So this post will be about my first week of 9th grade. It was pretty good. THe first day of school was great. Everyone was in a great mood and we all were happy to see each other. Everyone had smiles on their faces the whole day :) And the sun was out that day :) (it always rains on the first day)
The rest of the week we got to know about what we were going to learn in each class and stuff like that. Of course we heard a lot about these crazy exams we have to take at the end of the year. The teachers make it sounds like it's next to impossible to pass them. I think, hope, I'll be ok :)
That's pretty much it....I already have a ton of home work. But that's not the worst. I'm not overwelmed. Yet.

Ok, I'm really sorry about not posting, but I just haven't really had a lot of time......
Anyway, school started on tuesday. (it always starts on the first in Russia) Everything is going ok, I know for a fact that this year is going to be super hard. And I'm really going to have to work it. It's only the 3rd day and I'm already worn out. So the fact that I don't have any home work for today is a miracle!!!!!! I value every free moment I have.
I know this is completely out of the blue, but it's how I've been feeling the last couple of weeks. I get this random feeling that I want to run away from the whole world. Just for one day and be some place that is magnificantly beautfiul and at the same time nobody knows about. Of course I can't do that....but I wish I could. I wish I could just take off and write the whole day. Just write and write and write in that special place htat is known only to me....
At other times I wish that I could somehow get everyone to here what I have to say. About all the problems in the world. I can't do that 1) because I have no way of getting on tv...at least at the moment and 2) because if I said everything I had to say, it would take a LONG time....believe me...

Hi guys,
I can't believe summer's almost over. But I must say, my summer was pretty amazing! St. Petersburge, DC, France and I visited my grandparents countrey house a couple of times :) I was there just this week actually...It was a lot of fun. I have a good friend there, so we would meet and her friend who was visitting for 3 weeks would join us :) Mostly we talked...
The whether wasn't bad, but it rained a lot. And one time we even lost our electricity for the whole evening and night! It was scary when it first went out. But luckily it was getting late, so I just went to bed (I couldn't do anything else really) and when I woke up everything was working :]
My school starts in a week...I'm pretty excited :) I'll get to see all of my classmates and I'm hoping someone new will come :}

Hey everybody :) I'm back from France :)
We were visitting my Aunt, Uncle and two cousins who stay in a little city called Antibes for the summer :) We stayed there for about 6 days. Here is the whole story of our trip :)
We arrived in Antibes on August 6th at around 7. After we got settled we went to dinner at a nearby restaurant. My cousin is 4 so he wanted to go to the playground where we played games.
We started the next day by going to the beach (it's about a 10 min. walk). The water was pretty warm and REALLY clear. It was a lot of fun to swim in it. My brother wouldn't go in because there were jelly fish...(I didn't see any) We finally convinced him to go in :) In the evening we went to an Italian restaurant where my uncle met us (he had just come back from a business trip) The food was great.
We spent the morning at the beach on Saturday and in the evening we went to a beautiful city in the mountains nearby. Many artists live there, so there were tons of galleries with their work :) We walked around and then had some dinner. By the time we got back it was pretty late :}
Sunday, after being at the beach, we went to Cannes to go shopping. But, unfortunately, all the shops were closed! So we just walked around and then went to another city that is known for it's restaurants :) The food was exquisite and the desert was above and beyond. :D
On Monday we went to Cannes again (after the beach of course.) to go shopping. But we only had 2 hours so we only stopped at a kids store ( my brother really needed some clothes) and another store that was REALLY expensive :}
Tuesday was the only day when there were no jelly fish at all. The beach was a ton of fun that day. Later my mom and aunt went shopping and we stayed at home. They came back so late that we only had time to go to dinner. (we wanted to go to a museum or something)
We left wednsday afternoon. But we had time to go to the beach in the morning. There were SO many jelly fish!!!! I saw at least 15 of them! THat's a lot, especially since they were alive, even though the water was REALLY warm!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi People :)
I am still in DC and I'm having the time of my life :) I met with some friends that were in town :) And I'm seeing Emma today :) I had a wonderful weekend, with two sleepovers :)
My family's going to the beach this Saturday :) I'm looking forward to that :) It should be a lot of fun :)
Last week I took this glass art class :) It's in Glen Echo :) I really recommend it :) It's hard to explain what you do, but it's a lot of fun and very addictive :) I had a blast working with everybody there, the instructor Christine was really good :) I'm glad I took the class :)
This week I'm taking a writing class. Yes I have homework, but I think that the class will help me with school later on :) Besides it's only two hours. I like it :) IT's fun :)

Hi everybody :)
I got back from my visit to my granparents dacha. A dacha is a house that is outside of the city. People go there on weekends and vacations...
Anyway, I spent most of my time with my great grandmother. Well, on my last day we decided to figure out how many people were in our family. And you know what? It's practically impossible. I mean, you could probably do it, but it would take way more than a day. If you think about it, every person in the universe is connected to one another. I mean of course they're not part of your everyday life...but still... If you think about it Earth is just one big family. That's why I think it's so aweful that we have wars and that so many innocent people get killed because of them. It's not we should be doing. We should care about one another. Sure we aren't all great friends but we should respect other countries culture and way of life.
In other words...I think that we should be more peaceful with each other. It's amazing how many interesting things and ideas are out there. And a lot of us don't notice them because we're not open to new ideas...

There are a lot more...I'll upload some at the end of the post. :)
On our last day we went to the palace of a very rich family that used to live there. YOu can not imagine how beautiful it is inside there!!!!!! THey even had their own theatre!!!!!!!!!! They lived better than kings and queens. I didn't take any pictures because you had to pay money in order to take them and I decided I'd just get some postcards if I wanted to....:}
Then we went to the church that was built in honer of the russian tsar Alexander II. THe church was built on the spot where this wonderful person was killed on the 1st of March 1881. YOu see there was slavery in Russia until the middle of the 19th century. When Alexander II started to rule he knew that he had to free the slaves and that's exactly wha the did. He may not have given them the best land and maybe they had to stuggel, but at least he gave them freedom. And after that this wondeful person did a lot for Russia. Anyway, there were revolutioners that decided that Alexander hadn't done enough for the russian slaves and they killed him on the 1st of March. There had been around 8 tries to kill the tsar before that.
After that we went to the first museum that was built in Russia. It was ok, but I didn't like it as much...We had lunch and then we had a lot of spare time till the train left. We went to some stores and we took in a movie. It wasn't very good, I must say.
Ok, my computer is acting up...so I can't post any photos on this post, I'll just do another one with just the pictures. :)

Hi everybody :) I'm back from St. Petersburge and, as I promised, I'll write all about it :) We left on thursday on the train :) It wasn't very bad :) I was afraid I wouldn't be able to fall asleep but the train has a way of making you feel tired and kind of drousy :) It's really comfortable to sleep there :)
O the first day we went to this beautiful place called Petergof. (I'm not sure I spelled that wright) The gardens there are beautiful :) We went to a couple of museums that were there :) Unfortunately it rained and we didn't have that much fun as we would've if the sun had come out :)
After that we went back to the hotel and stayed there for around 8 hours. At midnight we went on a trip around the city to see the white nights :) It was beautiful. I've never seen anything like the white nights. Since St.Petersburge has a lot of rivers and channels, there are a lot of bridges. We got to witness the raising of the bridges of the main river in St. Petersburge, Neva. That was beautiful :) WE went to a couple of places after that and then we returned to the hotel. By the time we got back it was 3 a.m.!!!!!! :)
THe next day was wonderful :) WE went to the Hermitage. A huge museum with many paintings and works of art :) Did you know that in order to look at everything in the Hermitage you'd have to go there everyday for MANY years?
Then we went to the appartmant (it was turned in to a museum) of A.S. Pushkin. The famous Russian writer and poet. He lived there during the last part of his life and we got to see where he worked, where his family lived and where he died.
Ok, i'm going to go now :) I'll finish the post tommorow :)

Ok, the test truned out to be ok :} I panicked a bit the night before the test because I couldn't find a copybook from last year I needed. i got a B. That is actually not bad :) I actually got an A for one part and a C for the other. My teacher needed to give me one grade and so I got a B :) But it was actually really easy! Much easier than usual. I guess studiing really hard pulled off :) I mean I study for every test. Especially for Spanish but not as hard as I studied this time :) We still have another Spanish test on tuesday and I might get an A if I write if I write the test on an A. Let's hope :)
Nothing much is going on...I'm still waiting for the results on my project...Why are they taking so long? They should probably let us know soon because here in Russia school finishes in the end of May. :) I got to a private school so unfortunately I have to go to school till the 20th of June :( But I like my school in June :) It's half empty and you don't have as much homework and stuff...it's fun :)

Ok, now I can finally do a post on this blog...:} Nothing much is really going on in my life...I'm still waiting for the results for my project...the presentation went by pretty well...:) I had a great time, but I was SO tired in the evening because I went to dance right after the presentation and it was probably too much...:) But at least I had fun.
We have this new Math teacher. I'm actually very confused about her, because she explains everything REALLY well but she get's mad at EVERY little thing! Litterally...and really awkward thing get on her nerves. For example she asked us not to raise our hands because that makes her irritated...kind of awkward. It's only her first week and most of my class hates her...I think that I'll learn a lot from what she teaches because, as I've already written, she explains great...
Tell me what you think :) I promise to do a more interesting post on the weekend. :)

My personal project (finally) :}
Hey guys!
I may have mentioned in my previous posts about my personal project. Well since most of my week is about it then I'll tell you what it's about.
This year our class each had to make a personal project in half a year. What's a personal project? Basically we had to make something with our own hands. It didn't matter what. I decided to write a book for children. Why would I give myself such a huge challenge? Because I love to write and I love kids.
First I wrote a fairy tale, then a myth and then a legend. Then in order to somehow connect them I wrote about an old man who told stories to the village kids. I also drew illustrations to my book and made the book itself. Believe me it was hard and very tiring at some points! :}
But this project it so rewarding! I went to this competition and got in to the next one that I'm going to this Saturday. Who knows maybe I'll win something! :) I'm really excited. This week I went to my schools Kindergarden and Second grade and read them my fairy tale. They liked it. I didn't know how much fun it is to see people listening about something you worked on! It made me feel great!

Apple Pie :}
Hey everybody I'm back!!!!! :D
France was amazing. The weather was perfect all week, we had so much fun skiing. I just got back today. But today's post isn't going to be entirely about Val d'Isere, (the resort we went to) it's going to be about the resorts apple pies :)
Since I'm not aloud many things, including chocolate :(, because I am on a diet (long story, it has to do with my seasonal allergies) I don't have a big variety of desert. But I'm allowed baked apples, so wherever we went I ordered apple pie. Anyway I ended up trying practically every apple pie in the resort! :P
But the best apple pie you could have in all of France, is made in a small cafe in the middle of a mountain near Meribel (another resort) The pie is delicious and if any of you ever go there you must try it. unfortunately I don't remember where exactly the cafe is. But I do remember it's by a red run. :}

My apple pie review.
Apple pie is a popular desert that is made everywhere in the world. I tried many different apple pies in Val d'Isere, some were better than others, but all in all they were very tasty. ;P
There were two pies I liked the best. The first one I tried in a small restaurant at the top of a mountain. It was very good. First the dough, than some apple sauce and then slices of apples, mad the pie DELICIOUS. The second one was as good as the first. I had this pie in our favorite restaurant at the resort. It consisted completely of apples and just a tiny peace of dough...I think :} But it was very tasty and I enjoyed every bite of it :)
The other pies I had were also very good, but not as good as the first two. I can say that there is one apple pie I didn't like at all. It was at restaurant in a different resort, but there were practically no apples, and the dough wasn't very good. Believe me, it is very rare when I don't like some type of desert! :}

France
Hey everybody,
Well finally school is out and we have a week to relax until the next term starts. I'm going to France to ski. It's amazing there! You can't imagine how beautiful everything is. It's a lot of fun to ski in France. I can't wait!! I'm leaving this evening. I wonder what the snow and weather will be like this year...But there is one bummer: I won't be able to go online, so there won't be any new posts until I get back on the 23rd...:(
Anyway, gotta go help my mom pack. :}

Compassion circuit.
Hey everybody,
Today my post will be about Compassion Circuit by John Wyndham. It was written in 1956. We were given the beginning of the story and our homework assignment was to finish the story in the way we though it would end. Well here is what I wrote. It's kind of long, so get ready. :}

Compassion Circuit.
[By John Wyndham]
By the time Janet had been five days in the hospital she had become converted to the idea of a domestic robot. It had taken her two days to find out Nurse James was a robot, one day to recover from the surprise, and two more to realise what a comfort an attendant robot can be. Nurse James was the first with which she had come into close personal contact with and it came as a revelation.
Janet told the doctor of her enlightenment and he looked relieved. She also told George when he visited in the afternoon: he was delighted. 'Excellent,' said the doctor. 'To tell you the truth I thought we were up against a real neurosis here.'
'I know,' George agreed. 'I tried hard to persuade her to get a robot during the first two years we were married, but it only led to trouble so I had to drop it. The trouble is that the newest robot any of our friends has is ten years old at least. She'd never considered anything as advanced as Nurse James. The question now is what sort of robot?'
'Frankly Mr Shand, your wife is going to need a lot of rest and looking after. What I really recommend is the Nurse James model. A specially developed high-sensibility job with a quite novel contrabalanced compassion circuit - a very tricky piece of work - that any direct order which a normal robot would obey immediately is evaluated by the circuit, and unless it is harmless to the patient, it is not obeyed. But there's a pretty big demand for them, and I'm afraid they're rather expensive.'
'How much?'
The doctor's price made George frown for a moment. Then he said: ' Where do I get one?'
'It's not as easy as that,' the doctor told him, ' but I expect I'll be able to make you a priority. Now you go and fix up the details of appearance and so on with your wife. Let me know how she wants it and I'll get busy.'
'A proper one, ' said Janet. ' One that'll look right in the house, I mean. As it's got to look after the house , let's have it looking like a housemaid. It can have a black silk dress and a frilly white apron and a cap. And I'd like it blonde, about five feet ten, and nice to look at but no too beautiful!'
It was delivered the day Janet got back from the hospital.
George went out to borrow the next-door robot to carry the case in. They laid it on the kitchen floor. George opened the lid. He pushed away the layer of soft packing material out of the way and there, ready dressed in a black dress and apron, lay the robot. Janet knelt down beside the box and touched the perfect complexion. It was quite, quite, cold...
[By me]
Janet shivered as she felt the robots cold face. She wondered if getting a robot was a good idea after all...
It had been a week since the robot, who they named Mary, started working in Janet's and George's home. To every body's delight, Janet started getting better under the efficient robots care. Everything seemed to be going fine, Janet was feeling better more and more every day. Pretty soon the patient was feeling so well that she could leave the house for a short amount of time. But the she was feeling better, Janet had gotten so used to being waited on, hand and foot, that she started changing. George noticed this change.
Since Janet couldn't possibly work because of her illness, and somehow they had to pay for the medical bills, George had to work two jobs which wasn't very easy. He was barely ever at home and when he was he practically never saw his wife, who would either be resting or taking medications. Even when they did see each other, Janet didn't pay much attention to what her poor husband said unless it was about her. So George started talking to Mary, who was usually working around the house. Pretty soon they got to know each other better. Even though he knew she was a robot, George started liking Mary more and more. Pretty soon he fell in love with her. Though the poor man tried telling himself that he was already married and that Mary was a robot, George couldn't stop thinking about her.
One day, when Janet was out on a walk, George told Mary about his feelings towards her. 'No!' the robot started shouting. ' That can't happen, I won't allow it!' And with that she took a sharp kitchen knife and started walking towards George, when Janet walked in. At the site of his wife, George ran out of the door saying ' I'm sorry Janet, so so sorry...' Janet stood there, not knowing what to do. Then all of a sudden she ran towards Mary and disconnected her.
'Wait Janet, I love him nooo......'
Till the end of her life Janet wondered about that day. Many people said that something had gone wrong when the robot was being made, and that's why it had gotten feelings. But the woman knew that it was all because of Mary's compassion circuit and nothing more.
Please tell me what you think. I know it's kind of sad. :( There should be another post tomorrow that has to do with a project I'm working on :)

Prejudice
Hey guys,
Probably most people who are reading this know what prejiduce is. Basically it's when people are picked on or laughed at because they're different.
I think prejiduce is aweful. Just because a person is different from you doesn't mean he's bad, or weird. We're all special. Sometimes I imagine a world where everyone are alike. It seemed so boring. When you know someone who isn't like you, your life becomes more colorful and exciting. You never know what'll happen. :}
One of my classmates is picked on because he's fat and very loud. he reacts to this by being annoying and even more loud. But you can see the hurt in his eyes. He's actually a very nice person and once you get to know him you start to understand him. I get along just fine with this person, and I think that hurting a person like that is mean and inconsiderate. People don't put themselves in someone elses shoes. Maybe then they would understand.
What I'm trying to say is that prejiduce is mean and hurts a lot of people. Don't ever pick on someone. Especially if you don't know that person, because he/she could turn out to be a great friend with a ton of awesome ideas.

Hey everybody,
Remember the girl I wrote about in my last post? Well I know why she wasn't being very nice. She felt like I was taking away her friends. I know it sounds selfish, but I can understand that she felt that way. Anyway we talked today and decided to get to know each other better. I know she's not the best person in the world but it's better to be friends than enemies. And besides she may turn out to be better than I thought...anyway I'm going to try and be nice to her, it will save EVERYBODY a ton of trouble and everyone will be happy, including me and her :)

I have this person in my class that really intimidates me! Whenever I'm around her she makes me feel like I don't belong and that I'm weird. Now looking at my previous post, you could say I don't care if people think I'm weird. And I don't. But the way she acts towards me is SO annoying. For instance today we were sitting at a table with my friend and doing our math homework for the next day so that when we got home we didn't have to o as much homework. Of course this person thought that what we were doing was stupid and said so. When I answered that when I come home I don't want to spend the whole evening doing homework and that I want to have time to rest she informed me that she had no idea how I relax and what I consider fun. I'm not exactly sure what she meant by that, but it wasn't nice.
And another time she asked me if I liked the way my life was, and when I answered yes but that I would like to change a few things she smiled as if to say: "Right, why am I even talking to a dope like her?"
She also always get's mad at me at P.E. when we're playing Pioneer Ball (kind of like volley ball but you have to catch the ball) because I'm not very good at the game and it's hard for me to catch the ball. So every time our team loses a point I'm blamed even if it wasn't my ball!
Every time she does something like that to me I want to tell her what I think of her, but I don't because I know it's not worth it. But if she keeps on acting the way she is, she's going to get an earful weather she likes it or not! >|
On the other hand today was great. I got an A for my homework and for my test in Physics. An A for my HM in Geometry. And two A's in Russian. Also my Personal Project passed and I'm going to the next competition...I think I'm going to regional but I'm not sure :)

You're different and that's what makes you special.
My teacher keeps on saying that my generation isn't as good as the one before us. He says that we're lazier, we're inconsiderate, we're forgetful, we don't have much manners, etc. etc. Of course he doesn't say this exactly but you can understand what he means. And he made me feel kind of guilty until I read this article where there was a piece of a letter that an old man wrote to his friend. It was about the younger generation and how young people aren't what they used to be. So basically he wrote about the same things as my teacher always talks about. Guess what century the letter's from? The 18th. What I'm trying to say here is that you may hear something like I just described, if you do, don't take it personally. Each and every generation is different and that doesn't mean that one generation is better than the other.
In a way it's the same with people. Each and every one of us is different in our own special way. That doesn't mean we're weird, it means we're unique. Do you think it would be fun if every single person was exactly like everyone else? No way. It would be boring, life would never change and there wouldn't be any surprises. So if someone tells you you're weird, ignore them. You're different and that's what makes you special. :)
Hope I gave good advice :)

Hi guys,
Does anybody who's reading this ever write? Like stories or poems or songs? Don't you just love the feeling when your in the middle of writing something? Doesn't it make you feel better to write something when your upset or mad? I keep a diary, and you have no idea how much I write. Sometimes I think that if I don't write at all I'll just...I don't know...go crazy!!!! It's so wonderful. I'm in the middle of writing this book right now...or at least I'm trying to...I don't have much time. My dream is to publish it someday. Maybe, just maybe my dream will come true.
Anyway, I have to go :}

Anyway, I have to go :}

Hey everybody, sorry I haven't written anything for a pretty long time, got to caught up in school work and stuff. :}
Yesterday I competed in a chess tournament in my class. I'm not very good at chess and I got 7th place out of 8. But it was really fun. I liked it the best when I played with my friend Nikita, he knows English really well so we talk in English instead of Russian and we've become really good friends. It was fun. The worst game was with this girl.
There were 8 of us all together. I had to play with 7 people. Each time I won I got a point. After I had played with 6 people, I had 2 1/2 points. My opponent had 3 or 4. It was our turn to play with each other. Well since I wasn't going to get a good place, she decided I could just let her win. Call me selfish that I didn't let her win, I don't care because it was selfish of her to try and cheat and to try and guilt me in to letting her win. But I didn't let her do either. In the end I won, she got mad at me of course, but if you don't play fare, why play at all? Nobody's making you play. The point of any game is to have fun and if you don't have fun, you might as well not play at all!

Yesterday it was my teachers birthday and I spent the whole week with my class trying to get him a present. First we wanted to get a watch then a wallet then a tie, then a nice pen and then we got him a nice thermos cup and a really nice box with green tea we also made a card that everybody signed. He wasn't very enthusiastic about his birthday in general, but he seemed to be pleased that we remembered. it was so hard to get the whole class to do something but I did and now I can sleep in peace! :)

Back to school
After break it's so hard to go back to school! You think: "Oh why do I have to go?" You have to get up early in the morning, homework, etc. etc. But that doesn't mean school is bad! I love school, you learn stuff and not just during lessons, you get to be with your friends and my teachers are pretty nice...I mean I really should give my Spanish teacher some credit for not eating me alive today! :} I must say I'm not a huge fan of homework (I can be VERY lazy! ;) But only sometimes!) but sometimes it's interesting and I have fun doing it...
Anyway I have to go dance :)
